Staffie's Hunting?

I am new to working dogs as I usually go ferreting and shooting, I have had a 2yr old Staffordshire bull terrier for about 6 months now and I'm looking into getting a lurcher. Could a staffie work with lurchers?

In a word, yes. Iv not done it myself but iv heard lads on here use em for bushing.

No they aint game enough and haven't got the heart, you want a bichon frise plenty drive in them

i go on regular mooching sesh's with a mate who has a staff and a red nose, both very willing and eager to hunt and work, both very fast but a little slow on turning/agillity but great hunters none the less, they drove 2 rabbits out the bush a few days ago for my lurcher pup (6 month) to have a good chase and sprint on, without the saff/red nose i wouldn't of had a case that night.

Yeh mate they ain't ideal but that get the job done I got a American bulldog that used to bush for the lurchers good nose and cover wasn't a problem he would plough throu anything
