Thanks again for the kind words fellah's...

Tomo, ive only been doing TRUE MMA for about 11 months,...but i have trained in various styles in the UK, and done some fighting there as well, although the rules tended to be a little more lenaient..lol.

With cardio, weight training, and MMA training, im doing between 3-5 hours a day, so ive been able to train hard, and get to were i am quickly....i just cant wait to go Pro!...but i dont wanna rush into anything, im just after cage time (ring exsperiance) right now...im learning so much about the game after every fight...and its a great game to be in!...i truly am living the American Dream!..

All the best guys!..

Jay.

Al :drink:

Bit of an after thought, although I don't compete these days, train a bit and for the last year or so trained with and advised my Mrs, who is one of the most natural runners I have ever come across. She could go a long way with the right input, but has absolutely no interest in competition at all.

Anyway out of the blue, she asked me to enter her in the recent "Race For Life", the week before the event was spent on an "all in" holiday in Bulgaria where we both ate and drank whatever was available and the only run was in blazing temperatures for thirty minutes on the Friday before flying home.

Anyway, the race was on the Sunday after and here she is finishing 8th out of about 1200, never ceases to amaze me

Thanks again guys,..

Im glad your mates are doing well at the Pro Game Millet, its a tough ole' game, boxing,...and there are plenty of people out there that wanna feck you over for a few quid, even in the game im in, which after every fight, i seem to be having to deal with more and more...its a shame i think.

I went and Wrestled with some guys form another camp last night, we didnt do any striking, just ground work, and i did ok, but them boys that have been doing it since they was 10-11 are a real handful on the ground...im fighting a guy that trains with them sometimes,...he is only 2-0, but winning both fights over real tough lads,...he is in his early 30, has five kids and speaks seven languages (he is a Linguist buy trade)...so its gonne be the low-IQ, of the lad from England, who left school when he was 15, against a cross between Albert Einstein, and Hulk fecking Hogan!..lol...im a little nervous about this one!...i guess, you just gotta train hard, and have a fight!... :boxing:

Mad Al, sounds like your wife is a natural athlete!...isnt it frustrating though mate...the people with the God given ability to do something easily, rarly have the inkling to do it well...i think your lass could make a fantastic athlete if she put her mind to it...she sounds like a natural to me mate...i wish her best in any future races that she takes part in!..

Kye

Well done, having done alot of boxing and then kick boxing, i can remember cutting weight well, i hate bananas and saunas now. Also the rubber suits sticking to you with sweat or wearing 3 black bin liners and doing a 4 mile run before the sauna.

You are a tough lad putting your self through that, i walked around at 75 kg and boxed at 71kg or 67 kg and that was lethal losing the weight .

Good luck in your spar

Celt

Just read this thread all the way through, and besides being a decent athlete, a true tough guy, Kye seems to be a real honest and kind genuine bloke, please dont lose that and keep us updated on your career!!
