can anyone put more pics up of unusuall coloured hares they caught or like mixed bag said there was 1 on here before can someone repost that pic up please

interesting thread this. my old man told me stories of a hare local to use which had a white neck that him and his mates use to run. ive walked the ground alot over the years and never seen another there. makes me wonder why there has only ever been just that hare being a different colour at that particular spot.

This was about 15 years ago and about 7 miles outside Glasgow, a friend had caught one about 5 miles from where i caught this one. Possibly a gene that has been passed on, coincidence or what? This is not a white hare, it's a brown albino caught in big flat fields. I didn't even see it in the clap.

there was a pure white hare caught hare caught in wiltshire last week that loads had been trying to catch for a while.and that was definately a wbrown hare if you know what i mean lol.

So it beat all n sundry from from xmas onwards n got took out mid march, not havin a dig by the way mate just seems a shame after surviving n winnin battles when it counts n then bitein the bullet once he'd dropped off abit so it does, bet he was a good hare until recently tho :thumbs:

as i said pal, a mate had caught one a couple of years earlier and about 5 miles away from where i got this one , my take on it ,,, a gene thats been passed on .. and yes mate a once in a lifetime :victory:

When i was younger, i used to have access to some land on the Wellbeck estate (notts) and there was always Hares showing 'plenty' of white markings.... very obviousley in the local gene pool... some of the old local boys used to joke about the 'Tesco bag' blowing over the fields again..... very handy on a dimly light morning!... :angel:
