RossM 8,121
Had a couple of the dogs out ferreting in the morning, decided to take the ones left behind for a wee run on the lure with BPR 28xxgeo brought his 7 month old whippet bitch for a couple of runs, Was a bit sceptical with the snow but checked the ground and it was fine underfoot, Took me a while to get the hang of the photos this is just a load of the less crappy ones!!! 1 Quote Link to post

My whippet would yap like feck if she was there only has to see the lure and shes off..... Great pics mate Scary sight watching the dogs hurtling straight for you with the lure running between your legs? Fox tails are 100% the best lure we have tried Quote Link to post

Taz-n-Lily 62
Does the lure zig-zag or is it a straight pull? If a straight pull how fast is it going? Quote Link to post
RossM 8,121
Does the lure zig-zag or is it a straight pull? If a straight pull how fast is it going? That was a straight line, usually put 3-4 "turns" in, unsure of the speed tbh. Quote Link to post

B.P.R 2,798
The wee dog done well george The lure goes about 40mph + flat out im sure.... different weight lures affect the speed and so do turns due to the drag. We sometimes use turns and different lures. Also put a heavy blanket over the line just infront of the machine to keep the line tight on the spool and act as a cushion for the lure to stop. You 'drive it' meaning you feather the controll to keep it just infront of the dog thats running it Edited February 26, 2013 by Blue Pocket Rocket Quote Link to post
