Craig Fosse 286 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 Gloves, something for your face, some camo or dark clothing dependant on your terrain, knife...sharp, something to put ur game in if ur walking along way, range finder, if you have one. That's about all mate, some food and a flask is good as mentioned. To be honest it's like everything else. When you do it you start learning. Like I always take a call two meter camo netting with me where ever I go now because of the times I go still and wait to see if anything comes in. Big one is Allen keys or that for your rifle,scope... Especially if you have ones to do up your elevation and wind... The amount of times I have been out before and my zero has been off and I havent been able to tighten or undo them. Quote Link to post

jandcguns 65 Posted February 25, 2013 Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 Jack pyke English woodland jacket,trousers,gloves,baraclava and some real tree muck boots witch are unbelievably warm. Also deben gun lamp,knife and depending on if you do long range hunting a rangefinder preferably a hawke,tasco or bush nell but all of this will cost a bomb but is essential. Use clothing that is waterproof, but also does,nt make a lot of noise when moving about. Staying warm is half the battle if static hunting, or having a mooch, as you are not really moving about a lot to keep you warm. I always take a moby phone and a compact first aid kit, as its easy to nick yourself on barbwire fences etc. Quote Link to post

Always take my mobile (there was a post a while ago about registering your mobile with the emergency services, well worth searching it out). Quote Link to post
