Born Hunter 17,798
Unfortunately he's had to pull out of his utterly staggering attempt to walk across Antartica in the winter! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21571870 I'm not one for hero worshipping but if I could meet any one person in the world it would be this man. He knows no limits! He's an inspiration. Game doesn't begin to describe the heart this chap has!
johnny boy68 11,726
Didn't he get frostbite the other day from dropping something and having to take his gloves off? Was watching something this morning about it and he's really gutted as he says this was his last oppourtuinity at something like this. Amazing amount of self belief and drive in that fella fair play. Something about his skis bindings, couldn't fix it with his glove on so took it off and got frostbite. Madness looking at some of the stuff he's done and his matter of fact attitude to absolutely staggering events. He's ex 22 Regt. as well.

Born Hunter 17,798
I'm now wondering if he actually has any fingers left.............. He's lost them all from one hand and now got frost bite again, presumeably on the other hand! Think he's lost toes in the past as well, remember something about it dropping off in the bath and he left it one the side.............. which his wife found later on! Brewman 1,192
Read is biography as well and check out some of his books. The man is an absolute legend. He was on top gear once and was very dry witted and un-assuming.
