Ratreeper 441
Thanks for the replies, doesn't seem like there's any point interfering with it then. I have never really thought about human-type dentistry for dogs before but my mrs used to be a vet nurse (quite briefly) and she told me they used to cap teeth quite often and I didn't know vets did this. Although they probably capped them knowing they wouldn't last long so they can redo them again and again, they were a typical money grabbing vets which is why she left. Terrible noise too when they make contact...isn't it!!, my dog was works off slip and go's on command on the night in question he thought he knew better than me and came unstuck with a rock I had briefly in the beam. The following year he struck at a rabbit on a farm track, missed the rabbit and lost 3 lower teeth. Fair play to him he got up and carried on and caught and retrieved the rabbit... I haven't had a dog yet who didn't have a few teeth missing after a few seasons working. Edited February 26, 2013 by Sirius

gnipper 6,546
This older now deceast dog of mine knocked one side of his teeth out on a rock that i thought was a rabbit on the lamp...i took him to the vet's to get them pulled out..he said it would be more trouble than it is worth and it would be best to leave them as they are unless they started causing him problem's..he carried on catching gear up untill he died.. ive got one here i did the same with, a very rabbit looking rock indeed  Same here This dopey fecker of mine has smacked bricks on his way out to rabbits before now. He should have no teeth left the way he's hit stuff but only got 1 chipped canine.
