jack2o 45
never worked an undocked terrier but used to bush with a springer years ago that had afull tail and it got a lot of cuts some were quite deep.soon as i thought it was starting to heal i would get back to find blood every where an all over the sides of the dog.took him to vet and they took about half the tail off and never had a problem with it again.that was nearly twenty years ago and it was already damaged so not sure how the vets would be about doing a tail wirh no injuries.what kind of proof would you need to say its being legally worked?maybe a letter from an estate or gamekeeper? 1 Quote Link to post

lanesra 3,994
I'm registered to dock . . . My MATE has Official Permission for me to do it . . So he's told me though he won't let me see the Official Order but I'm not bothered cause I Trust Him 1 Quote Link to post
jawn 449
I've worked docked and undocked and it never made much difference in the brush. The rest of the dog gets all cut up anyways.... I dock every litter the first week... I try and shoot for day three like Bobby says but sometimes let a day or two slip. Don't know about an older dog. Quote Link to post
