delboy p 183
i start my pups at that age ferreting just holding them in the net so they dont mis and 1 or 2 runs on lamp at 10 months to 1 year old Quote Link to post
Frank.2 31
It sounds as if she is already working a bit. The pup usually will tell you when its ready, buy playing less and hunting about more. If your pup is very playful and acting like a clown a lot of the time, its best to let her be a pup and wait a while till she starts to take more of an interest. Little and often is the key, 1 or 2 runs on the lamp and try and all ways end on a high. If she is mainly for the big rabs, i have been told not to run them too much on the lamp, but have her out with a older experienced dog watching and slip her in on a kill, as she gets older and stronger, you could slip her in when the older dog has run the big rab for a bit. Good luck. 2 Quote Link to post
