carlbritz6 17
I've been trying to zero my new gun with a silencer fitted and it's shooting wild, I've tried it without a silencer and its spot on so I took my silencer back to the gun shop and swapped it for a new one but I'm still having the same problem! It's shooting spot on without a silencer but soon as I fit the silencer it's shooting all over the place! And suggestions? Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
The pellet will be clipping the mod on the way out. I had the same problem with a Hogan. If you have a look into the end of the mod you should see a faint line where the pellet will be clipping. I rolled up some fine sand paper, inserted it into the front end of the mod and rotated it until i'd taken a slither off. I only took about 1mm off bit it worked spot on. Worth a try ;+) 1 Quote Link to post
A1WOC 212
I had a similar problem too; it was caused by the thread inside the moderator being a loose fit on the end of the barrel thread and throwing it out of alignment. I curedit by wrapping PTFE tape around the barrel threads, enough to take up the slack without being over tight to screw the moderator back on. This cured the problemfor me. AirgunGuy 362
It may clipping 1 of the dividers inside. Open it up if you can and have a look at where the pellet dust is building up. Quote Link to post
carlbritz6 17
I've had a look and everything seems to be fine Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
Sounds as though its just clipping the mod at the end. Did you have a look for any signs? Maybe worth trying a different mod. Quote Link to post
kruby01 114
if there is no signs try firing quite a few pellets through it so it will start to leave marks and then have another look. might not have been enough pellets for a build up Quote Link to post
carlbritz6 17
I've tried two brand new silencers and still having problems, I've looked for signs but everything looks fine Quote Link to post
Acuspell 329
Is the thread true? Just because it was done at the factory doesn't mean it isn't a slightly off centre thread. Quote Link to post
iana 25
As above, your thread is out of centre. Quote Link to post
