The one 8,468 Posted February 23, 2013 Report Share Posted February 23, 2013 Just sorting out the gear to go ferreting about two hours plus away from the house tomorrow, and i take extra collars ,boxes ,battery's tape etc. but where do you call it do you take two spades etc you really could load the car up so you need a trailer as well ?. Tug 168 Posted February 23, 2013 Report Share Posted February 23, 2013 have confidence in the gear you have,,, you'll need no more than the normal gear you use ATB But it's better to have a spare spade in the car than in the shed two hours away, I've always got an extra one in the boot of the car and I carry a spare battery for the locator in my bag, cold weather can have strange effects on battery life and a locator is pointless without power. Take ferrets, nets, locator and a dog Went lamping one night with the dogs and a lamp....sleeping bag in the back of the van to stay over in a lay by..... Was a good idea at 8pm..... But at 2am....soaking wet....knee deep in cow shiit..... And realising the wet dogs had lay all over our sleeping bags ....
