Why is there all this moaning on here about dogs competing? Why shouldn't folk compete if thats what they want to do? Ive been brought up with Greyhound racing and stood many a night at the flapping track and thats the most competative night ever....lots of bitching goes on, of course it does....nobody wants to loose when you put the time and effort and more so the money into getting a dog into shape for it too loose.

Is it just the guys who never win anything that like a moan......Baw?... :whistling::D

 that's fine and dandy if the dogs getting bummed up are the real McCoy...... But when it's time to prove they are or aren't...... They rarely are. That's the issue. Not about guys competing, it's the bragging 5/5 etc until its time to prove it then its....... Too much cover, couldn't fund anymore hares, etc etc.

Thats fair enough....like the trialing world theres always a bit of the old pals act involved thats why id never be bothered with it. The bit that gets me is when you read "whats wrong with just taking your dog out and doing a bit of hunting"....well nobody is f***ing stopping you doing that (apart from the law) so if you want to do that and somebody wants to compete then on ye go. You dont need to bitch about them for doing so?...

It's a sad fact that too many lurcher owners these days see their dogs as some sort of kudos thing. Whatever happened to the lurchers which went out quietly and worked with no fanfare,no shouting, no

You know what I'm sick of reading on here, day walkers bragging about their dogs and when it comes to the crunch, don't live up to the hype. It's f***ing easy to bum up a dog on here, get couple of yo

A good dog is exactly that don't matter a shite if it runs day, night, field or fen...sadly it's just part of the dog scene all this knocking of dogs and snidey remarks about their owners...to a degree

I was talking about this the other day .... Now I have never really lived anywhere where I could give a coursing dog fair work BUT I know do so I am very tempted to to get a pup in over the summer to see exactly how difficult this top coursing dog training is ... I have done very well racing the greys and the lurchers I have kept have done their job well for me ..... So me mr nobody who only keeps crappy little lurchers may well get a dog in and take on these top trainers of the ultimate dogs to see how I do ...........

Go for it socks, if your dog can catch 3 hares, you'd have won the Ireland v England and the Forley

how much do people pay for a well bred coursing type pup?and if its over £100 do they get any guarrantees,

Where animals are concerned there are never any guarantees in life.. You do your research, pays your money and takes your chances. Dont matter if its got a fancy coursing bloodline or not ye get out of it what you put in.
