DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
After bolting only 5 rabbits all day with the ferrets on a local farm, and seeing many signs of foxes about, I decided to turn my attention to old Charlie boy tonight and lamp with my shotgun. I had one out in the open, about 60 yards away looking at me for about 10 minutes, squeaking away I was, but nope did not budge. Halfway round the next field the wind had dropped away slightly and the snow was starting to lay. It wasn't looking good but up in front was two eyes, so I started to squeak and he didn't seem bothered at all. I thought what the hell ill try and creep up on him, he walked away and jumped a ditch before trying to sneak back towards me. Small squeaks had him trotting down towards me the other side of this ditch until he was about 20 or 25 yards away and boom, gave him a double dose of 32g sg's. A good size dog fox, just in time for lambing! and my first lamped one with a shotgun.... 1 Quote Link to post
