andyf 144
Tried before, but any ideas? I have an HW100 .177 carbine, bought about 5 years ago now, BUT from new it didn't always index (Magazine rotating on reloading) when reloaded with the side lever. I know I should have taken it back to the shop, but the Air rifle was just a 'nice to have' toy I bought and never really used, so it's my fault as my time was taken up with pheasants and deer stalking etc etc. I can't see anything wrong? and NOBODY else who has a HW100 I know (and there's a few) have ever had any problem, let alone this one. I tried emailing Hull Cartridge as advised by a Gunshop, but guess what, SILENCE That's Customer Service in action NOT. AF (HELP) Quote Link to post
Mister Gain 1,764
Andy Just a thought. Is the magazine securing slide moving 'fully' forward after you have inserted the magazine? I have noticed that it doesn't always engage fully, but a slight rotation/movement of the magazine will then allow the securing slide to fully engage. HTH. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
^^^ what he said! Make sure you have the magazine inserted properly (bulge at the back), rotate it until you feel the heavy click of it in the indexing, then slide the magazine retaining pin forward, amazing how many times you can forget to do that! Marksman 934
Take the action out of the stock and have a look at this bit circled... if it isnt sitting straight then the mag wont index properly mate Simple fix.... small allen key, loosen the bolt suqare up the block, tighten the bolt Happy days!
