Speed Of 22 Rim Fire

Recommended Posts

Was really impressed the other day i watched a program on shooting they was using a 22 rim fire at targets 50 or so yards away and then 100 yards or so,

the impressive part is they slowed the picture down as they used exploding targets the bullet hit the target, before the cartrige was fully ejected from the gun how bloody fast is that.

Probably more to do with the editing.

I use mainly subs, and you can deffinately see the gap between firing and striking. HV rounds are obvioulsy quicker, but not that quick.

My .222 seems to hit before I`ve even aimed though ! lol

Think I've got some video of me shooting a 50 cal with tracer out in the omani desert.. And your right its awsome! Ill see if I can find it.

I know my 22 rimmy is shooting at 1051fps giving it about 100 ft lbs of energy, puts rabbits to sleep very well.
