B.P.R 2,798
Any ideas on what to do about my young bitch licking her wound raw? She has a small but nasty looking graze on her toe which is trying to scab over and heal....but she is constantly licking it raw again.... I can cover it....but want to let the air get to it. Any ideas?
LaraCroft 863
leave it open when you are there to stop her, or while walking her and she is distracted, and cover when you can't. There are various sprays etc you can put of the fur around the wound, to put her off, but sometimes they can cause more problems if she licks it and gets any on the raw area itself. sowhat 1,572
Put abit of Antiseptic wound powder (Sterzac) on,that normally helps dry up wounds, and sometimes stops them from licking.
Rake aboot 4,936
Camrosa It`s for horses, (google it, you can only buy direct) Bloody amazing stuff, works miracles. Every dogman should keep a small tub, it`s amazing stuff In the meantime, try vasaline , or bapanthen nappy rash cream

LaraCroft 863
Yes - reapply daily. I would clean it a couple of times a day with salt water or hibiscrub solution, then redo the blue spray and see how it goes.

BORDERSCOT 3,816
Get one of them plastic lampshade things - cheap as chips at the vet - stick it around its neck and it'll stop the licking. And I use Sudocreme. It's meant for babies nappy rash etc and it is fkn brilliant. Mrs gets a bit pissed off when she goes to use it on kids and it's got dog hairs in it? Even bought me my own tub which now has DOGS written on it!!!!!! Great stuff - swear by it!!!!
