One i seen was an older ati card and CPU GDDR5 is faster than DDR3 but they are different, PC GPUS have been using GDDR5 since 2008? Some crackin cards out there for crazy money, some even fit two lol. PCS dont use GDDR5 as system memory, DDR4 isnt even out yet. PS4 uses the GDDR5 shared for the system, CPU and GPU. PC has its dedicated GPU memory then system memory on top, i have two 4gb sticks in two of four slots.. Each slot can hold more that 4GB and faster memory depending on Motherboard or being OC. Reading the link you sent, newer than the ones i seen the PS4 is a decent machine. If asked though id still pick PC over it. With consoles your stuck with the same spec and possible cooling problems. With pc you have loads of options, can OC, upgrade anytime, tweek the machine,change parts add more ram, add a extra GPU the list goes on. Plus i couldnt go back using a control pad for gaming, to used to the mouse and keyboard, better control in games. Fair play to you malt, another good convo. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I've heard that quite a few PS4 games are going to have KB & M support Joe, because quite a few games are going to be cross platform and allow PS4 gamers and PC gamers to play against each other. Yes mate, learnt alot about the PS4 today lol Sony will allow the same sort of freedoms to developers on the PS4 as they get on the PC, that's how it's happening. They can update and change their games whenever they want in an open environment without interference. They talked to the game developers aout what they wanted, before they even started designing the console and the results are the developers got what they wanted and a bit more. Up until now console makers have made their hardware and the developers have had to work round it, they've been given a head start this time round. Microsoft won't allow them the same freedoms, that's why you won't see Xbox players playing against PC players.. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Normally I would have waited until Spring. Ibe not set it up yet though as I only have Killzone and am still wading through last gen titles. This "gaming is for kids" mindset is laughable mind you.
