Air Arms Field Diablo .177

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Those of you that use this pellet will know how good it can fire through a barrel(check out Zini s vid with his ultra), anyway guys I was wondering those of you that buy them, how the pellets have come down? My past two tins I have brought have had a lot of damaged pellets, unfortunately I have to order them online because my local gunshop isn't really air rifle friendly. They come really well packed but the last couple of tins haven't been good at all. Plus at ten squid a pop it's not a great investment.

Also I'm wondering what other pellets are similar to these, my s200 seems to be quite fussy and the aa seem to be the best. Most of the bisley range has been out through and h & n barracuda and fft,

Was just a question to those of you that use and hopefully get some feedback!

Much appreciated

Craig

Had a couple of tins posted a year or so ago and I estimated 1/3rd of them were damaged. Since buying them from my local gun shop I haven't had a problem. I think it's a combination of the pellets being quite soft and the guy hurling them around the sorting warehouse being similarly minded.

Try contacting where you bought them and explaining the state of them, it might be bad batch.

I think Tony from here, another S200 devotee, had great results with FX pellets. Practically the same but a pound or so cheaper.

I've not had any real trouble with .177 Air Arms Fields Craig, or the .22 versions. The skirts are quite thin and I've found a few bent ones though. But not so many that want to make me chuck the whole tin away. But, there have been quality issues with Air arms pellets in both calibres in recent months so, try JSB Exacts in the same head size and weight your rifle is compatable with.

Good shout! Jsb are good pellets.

Craig I know what you mean! As the sole bread winner in my house trying to keep the mortgage, bills, kids and wife at bay means I really have to think about buying a tin of pellets to try, worrying if they are crap I've wasted the best part of a tenner!
