snoopdog 1,256
neither if they cant kill a fox WELL LUCKY PERHAPS THATS ANOTHER DEBATE NOT REALLY MY CUP OFF TEA . I LEAVE THAT TO THE FOLKS WHO NO MORE ABOUT THAT SIDE OF HUNTING LIKE YOUR GOOD SELF BUT WILDLIFE AND LEVERTES WOULD CERAINLY DEMINISH IF WE DIDNT HAVE GOOD FOX MEN ... Quote Link to post
juckler123 707
I see your quite sure then Frank Im affraid i want both in one dog do you know where i can get one please. Its some dog that can do 6 from 6 in winter with fair law more than a couple of times in its lifetime. Whereas a good dog needs a lot of easy bunnys to do the ton and the stamina to do it more than a couple of times a week. Now the rabbit dog might not catch hares but the hare dog will have little trouble with bunnys so for me anyroad it would be the coursing dog. Quote Link to post
TOMO 26,005
this is a tuff one for me to answer honestly , as im quite passionate about both. but probly the lamping dog and i will explain why. 6 out of 6 is a great achivment. but there are a good few each winter that do it, dont get me wrong none of mine ever have but there is plenty good coursing blood out there that are doing the magical 6 out of 6 each season. and if your a gambling man you could earn some ££££ from it. but the 100 a night lamped bunnys is somthing very special , whilst there are a few people out there that have come close , i mentioned doxhope on another thread, and also chalkwarren with his bitch sadie. and there are undowtably more ,its still iluded most people. minshaw actualy got over a 100 with a bitch, that was out of blue. but blue himself didn't do it so i belive. i think blue got in the 90's . maybee some others on here who new minshaw could tell exact numbers. and this is the only dog i have ever actualy herd of doing 100. now there maybee a few others but i aint herd of them ,, who has? so for me the lamper, a dog that has the staminar and determination to put a 100 in the bag is truly a 1 off TOMO Quote Link to post
baz 463
the hare dog...but one that can kill a heap on the lamp aswell..just like the one i have now Quote Link to post
snoopdog 1,256
I AGREE TOMO THE 100 A NIGHT BUNNY DOG IS A LOT RARER .. AND THERE QUITE A FEW HARE DOGS THAT HAVE DONE 6 OUT 6 IN THE MIDDLE OF JAN... THE HARE DOG IS JUST MY PREFERENCE BECAUSE I WOULD MUCH RATHER SEE A GOOD COURSE BETWEEN TO TOP ATHLETES .THAN LAMPING A HUNDRED BUNNIES ...BUT I LIKE YOURSELF HAVE SPENT MANY A GOOD NIGHT ON THE LAMP AND IT IS A VERY CLOSE SECOND TO THE DAYTIME COURSING ...AND I HAVE NEVER OWNED A DOG THAT COULD COME CLOSE TO 100 BUNNIES OR A DOG THAT COULD BAG 6 OUT OF 6 DAYTIME HARES .... BUT YOU NEVER KNOW MAYBE ONE DAY ... HOPFULLY IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: Quote Link to post
broomer 0
THEY ARE BOTH SOMTHING VERY SPECIAL but for me the hare dog anytime just love daytime coursing Quote Link to post
rabbit slayer 22
Id prefere the hare dog, love to see a good course. And there isnt 100 bunnies around by me to lamp in one night anyway so it would be a waste of a good dog. Quote Link to post
midnight walker 8
it would be the six out of six for me nothing comes close to watching a good course but i would also like the land that i could get a 100 rabbits off of Quote Link to post
