Bull Greyhound X Saluki Greyhound

Thinking of putting a nuttal bred coursing dog to a bull greyhound bitch . Wanting a dog for a bit of all round single handed running and a dog that be run on a regular bases with out to many injurys and a dog that will give all quarry a good run.any thoughts on the cross and pictures appreciated

I like this cross, and of the ones I've seen I like the dam to be bull/greyhound. If retrieving shot foxes are high on the agenda then I would go for a male pup, but that's just my personal experience.

There is a dog called Harry in running dog addiction, which is bred from nuttel stuff I believe. Rough coated dog.

Something ive thought about alot as ive a nuttal bred dog and a bull/greyhound. They both work very well as a team for what i normally hunt around here.

Yes I agree moonlighter you should use the dam as the bull x . The bitch I was going to use is a 5/8 greyhound 3/8 bull only thing she does get a few injurys but going back to a tax x snowy x jack dog the injurys should be much less frequent

What im looking for in this cross is abit of toughness and abit of determination and obviously abit more speed. They mightve only been good for the odd hare but i imagine they wouldve made good fox and deer dogs ? I cringe everytime the saluki x enters abit of heavy cover

As I said I was thinking of using a 3/8 bull ,she does look like a half cross but do you think you need at least a1/4 bull in the mix to get the benefit of the breed . Interesting to here comments
