Danny Fireblade 66
I recently obtained some new permission, a 180 acre farm with 30 acres of farm buildings ( it's a pig farm mainly). To say they have a rat problem is an understatement, much to my joy:-) So while I'm waiting for the land to be cleared by my FAO for my .22 rimmy, I have been round the farm buildings twice, both times during the day and both times for about two hours. Not too bad a start, there is something strangely enjoyable about shooting rats:-) Quote Link to post

Danny Fireblade 66
Cheers guys, yeah the rats are a fairly big size here, the farmer is well pleased as he says the big ones don't get touched by all the bait he puts down. They are very tolerant of humans, pretty much ignoring us at times hence some of the shots were from fairly close range. I don't think I will be running out of sport there anytime soon:-) I've not even been over the fields to see how many bunnies he has. Fun times ahead:-) Quote Link to post

Danny Fireblade 66
Cheers for the responses guys, I went out this evening with my lamp just for a look see, managed to check out some fields that the farmer lets out for horses, saw about 15-20 bunnies on them:-) think ill wait a month or so before tackling them though, give em chance to breed a bit:-) I reckon the golf course I have permission on will keep me busy as well as the rats, pigeon, doves, squirrels and crows that inhabit the farm:-) 1 Quote Link to post
