lapin2008 1,587 Posted February 20, 2013 Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 Suppose started trying to snare stuff very early maybe 8-10 never had much guidance on it so never caught much, about 10-12 i think I started with the ferrets and got an air rifle when I was 13/14 i think. artful212 394 Posted February 20, 2013 Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 i was bout 10 use be out up no good when seen boys coursing hares or rabbits as i thought then me and mate then got ferret started doing abit then we got a dog but kept it with a greyhound man if we walked his dogs as wernt allowed a dog then got out coursing with boys and got my own dog and ive never looked back..well have the odd time to have a laugh at how use do things when starting off lol Quote Link to post

I met a guy with lurchers on the IFF forum of all places after going out with him and his dogs and Harris hawk, I had to get me one (dog). Shes six now and a bit beat up through injuries so shes chilling out and ill be after a pup... as soon as iv sorted out living arrangements, for me and the dog Quote Link to post

New speedie 2 91 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Share Posted February 21, 2013 I can rember my first full day out i was 5 had to walk about 3 miles before we got into a field and walk all day after.It was christmas eve my uncle that started me at the game decided that it would be my christmas present .He did pring along a load of sweets and goodies aswell but haveing to walk from about 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon was fairly tough.Needless to say wasent first up to see what santa had brought that year 45 years on still cant sleep the night before a hunt 2 Quote Link to post
