i was about 10 when started way ferrets then dogs couple year later .My son loves it he been into it for years just seemed to tag along way me no he got own dog and is out couple knights a week and out weekend

was out with my dad from very young got my own lurcher when i was 8 still have her she is 16

Suppose started trying to snare stuff very early maybe 8-10 never had much guidance on it so never caught much, about 10-12 i think I started with the ferrets and got an air rifle when I was 13/14 i think.

The first time my own kids went ferreting was when they were 2 and 4

i was bout 10 use be out up no good when seen boys coursing hares or rabbits as i thought then

me and mate then got ferret started doing abit then we got a dog but kept it with a greyhound man if we walked his dogs

as wernt allowed a dog then got out coursing with boys and got my own dog and ive never looked back..well have the odd time to

have a laugh at how use do things when starting off lol

I was quite young when i started about 8 i think. Started of with guns and terriers ended up with lamps and lurchers. My bro loves bieng out with the dogs hes had a good start in life and i hope he progresses into a good lurchermen.

I suppose messing about with a catty as a kid was where it all started for me, gone through air rifles, snaring and now dogs! I met a guy with lurchers on the IFF forum of all places after going out with him and his dogs and Harris hawk, I had to get me one (dog). Shes six now and a bit beat up through injuries so shes chilling out and ill be after a pup... as soon as iv sorted out living arrangements, for me and the dog

I was 6 lamping with my cousin he was about 15 used to make me carry the rabbits there heads dragged the floor and I'd have dead arms and a aching back but loved it haha

I can rember my first full day out i was 5 had to walk about 3 miles before we got into a field and walk all day after.It was christmas eve my uncle that started me at the game decided that it would be my christmas present .He did pring along a load of sweets and goodies aswell but haveing to walk from about 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon was fairly tough.Needless to say wasent first up to see what santa had brought that year 45 years on still cant sleep the night before a hunt
