silentshot1 206
Hi there, My Lightening XL loved Accupells or AA field 5.52. Both worth a shot. Quote Link to post
prubs_123 4
Hi Lew, try crosmans premier ultra magnums 14.3 5.53 Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Lewis, for most of last century British air rifles in .22 were made to use pellets of 5.6 bore instead of the European 5.5 . Wasp still make pellets in 5.6 plus 5.5 for other makes of rifles. Try a tin of 5.6 Wasps they might be excellent in your gun and the one good thing is they are much cheaper than the expensive European imported ones. 1 Quote Link to post

Tron 173
Good find Fry, I believe the Marksman pellets were only any good for low powered rifles they certainly didnt group well in full powered rifles I used to shoot them in the 1950's onwards untill better stuff came along, the progunner ammo if my shaky memory serves me right was lead ball pellets like BB ammo. again not very accurate in good rifles. Lewis 5.6 is a true .22 and it seems, i could be wrong, that only bsa are left making these calibers in the uk as bsa still make the barrels. I have a lightning in .22 and it loves the wasps ( blue tin in 5.6 ) very accurate, Theres nothing wrong with bsa barrels mate let me tell you. You will do well with that rifle lewis, good luck. atb Phil Edited March 1, 2013 by hunter100t Quote Link to post
redial 81
I have been told that RWS superdome go well in 5.6 chamber's. I have old BSA / WEBLEY rifles and the Wasp of today in 5.6 do not go well in them not sure where they are made. Coming to the end of my B'ham made Eley Wasp supply. Cheer's, Phil. Quote Link to post
