But I agree, this section can and is a wealth of information from experienced trappers, to the inexperienced.......like me.

I've not been a Mod for a year or more....the idiot hasn't been on fro l9ong....but I have put in reports and I urge others to do the same..

 

I've done that myself JD.

 

The last time, he got a three day ban, and came back a reformed character - for a few days.........

 

I've given up reporting stuff; THL seems to be pretty much unmoderated these days. I've now taken the lead set by LeBrac and blocked the dick. I suggest others do the same.

so you reported it and he was given a 3 day ban! now youve given up reporting stuff! the sites unmoderated?? maybe a second report would have resulted in a further ban and ultimatly a perminant ban, the mods all 2 or 3 of us usually online at any one time can not police the whole site, we assume that the members will take some responsisbilty and report abuse and illegal content. admittidly i rarely come into this section but i do act when asked to,as it was me who gave him his 3 day ban. you may not see all thats done, but believe me when i say things are done,

A bit drastic I thought , he had an opinion and voiced it, some of his replies were a bit caustic but was there not a germ of truth in some of them, the bloke got out and done a bit whether he done it right or wrong he stood his ground the only way he knew how. I think a final warning would have been better and perhaps mole catchers should try to grow thicker skins.

again i think there is more.well i know there is more than is visable on the forums. the banning of a member is not done on a whim

all mods have lives outside of the site and sometimes this site has to take a back seat, i know this to be the case with a few of the mods but i carn`t speak for the rest. as i said i rarely come in here as my main interest is running dogs, however i do shoot and trap, but i tend to see it as a chore these days rather than a pleasure if you take a look at his content nearly every post was provocative or condescending, to me he came across as a troll

Lads he's gone, I just removed him.. I don't visit this section that much, but if any of the regular guys who frequent and use this section feel that certain disruptive elements are out to cause trouble drop me a PM and I'll sort it..

People in glass houses shouldnt throw stones . I have read a lot of posts on here and seen others have a ban for a time which had a disagreement with you .Steer well clear of rats i think.

The only person that I'm aware of that has had a ban after a disagreement with me was Prolapse.

 

His first post to me was less than friendly, and it went downhill from there on in.

 

Sorry if you don't like what I post; I know I'm quite capable of winding folks up at times. Oh, and for the record, I've never had warning points in all the years I've been on here.

I wouldnt take for granted, that all moderators on here,are necessarily "competent" for the role,anyway.Also,some people may have too high an opinion of themselves, sometimes.Before anyone tells me,maybe ive been guilty of this myself,occasionally................but i try not to be now. LOL

no mate its just the mods have to cover all sections of the site not just one, plus some stuff you dont see. so some of the time they could find themselves out of there depth on certain subjects, so a hand from the regular contributors to the section would be of far greater value than a slagging and no this is not aimed at you just a general observation

Ive had communications with a few mods,up till now on here.............LOL
