Lab 10,979
just out of interest how many parents on here allow there kids to join the scouts?or is all this current child abuse scandals make you keep them away from such organisations? Be a sad state of affairs if the whole country thought that way. Would be nothing for kids to do and everyone would be scared to get involved in case there name got put up for something they never done. Best thing to do is execute the next beast that comes along live on tv and see how many more pop up in the future!!

WILF 47,975
To be honest, it's not just this thread about the pope that I think is bollocks, it's the whole smorgasboard of cerebral pig slop spoon fed to the masses who seem to lap readily at the trough without any further thought that I think is complete mince!! All this business of late with TV celebs and priests and what have you.....juicy little tit bits held out for us to take our mind off the arse f***ing we are getting from our governments, media, utility company's, councils, petty officials...... Now for the record, I initially thought that the pope got it badly wrong with the allegations of child abuse in the church, I thought he should have thrown open the doors to the authority's and said " find what you will and do justice to the perpetrators " But having sat and actually considered it ( a novel concept in the modern age) and taking into consideration the fact that Joseph Ratzinger is a highly intelligent theologen and academic I can now see why he did not. He knew that it would have been a media driven feeding frenzy, with governments pulling the strings, spoon feeding the plebs there bit of daily gossip and finally letting them destroy one of the only institutions who have a voice bigger than any politician. It would have been a total hatchet job with little consideration for the truth. I hate all this " 4000 kids have died in an earthquake and Jordan's got a new hair do" type of media babble and when folk post shite like that link, they validate it and give it life which it does not deserve. Wake up and smell the coffee !!!
