NEWKID 27,278
If Gazza was that much of a c--t to Sheryl and Kids why do they still carry his Surname ????????? Fooking Hypocrits. She does herself no favours as the hard done by victim, she just doesn't come accross well, his name has kept them in money.... As bad as she comes accross I'm not one for wife beating myself..
whippet 99 2,613
Its absolutely nothing to do with sport its about sticking up for my own.......your an Englishman in England i,ll stick up for you, your wife, your kids just the same as i,ll stick up for Gazza.........long before i,ll stick up for people we have no connection with. What the problem/illness is....is irrellevant its about standing up for your fellow Englishman.....or woman/child......and putting our own kind first. thats fair enough , but i dont stick up for anybody who was someone who achived greatly in any career and become a legend , its up to them to keep there legend status after there career...................i will stick up for my own for the right reasons...................gary glitter was a great singer but because of what he is i couldnt care if he dropped dead tommorrow..........a true legend in my eyes can be in disrepute for activities done in later life.............. look at OUR jimmy saville the legendary charity worker..........(just an example) ok gazza cant be compared to peados .........................but the guy has beat his misses and had numerous chances .................im all for chances but even his own family got shite on after they were doing all they could to cure him,................. at the end of the day its nothing to do about standing by your own this thread was about giving to a worthy cause and i think there are better worthy causes here in england / great britain........

What the problem/illness is....is irrellevant its about standing up for your fellow Englishman.....or woman/child......and putting our own kind first. I'm not sure why the African connection has been made Gnash.... This is more a case of is someone who has had more money than most could dream of, and then squandered the lot, along the way given his missus a fair few hidings, now has a newspaper, the England squad, and a handful of celebrities starting some Save Gazza campaign... The bloke down the road is an Englishman through and through... He's always on the piss, comes home knocks his wife about, and his kids watch shit scared.... I might go and bung him a few grand to get himself sorted as he's one of my own... Gazza the footballers been lost for a long time, I hope he recovers, I fear it's another media fuelled waste of money.. I,ll tell you the reason why...........because im sick to the back teeth of being made to feel guilty for not sending money to the same starving kids with the same flies on their face with the same pot bellies we was made to feel guilty about 30 years ago !!.........I dont know Paul Gasgcoine to be able to judge him as a human being the same as i dont know the poor children i put my hand in my pocket for every week to try to help them out.......is it not our responsibility as decent folk to help out those less fortunate if we can ?....... Why Gazza ???.....i can only speak for myself, but he brought me immense pleasure and enjoyment watching him play a sport i love for the country i love................surely its the most natural thing in the world to want to help/support.

Yes it is our responsibility as decent folk to help those less fortunate out 100%.... This just stinks of a big media circus around somebody who should've have been helped along time ago by those who are beating the drum so loudly now.... The fa, the sun. Celebrities etc..... Why not quietly sort the man out if it can be done..... I truly hope he gets better, as a fellow human and one of the best players I have ever seen..... I still remember dancing round the football club when that goal went in against Scotland, Gazza the footballer was great...... At some point you've got to stand up and sort yourself out, if he isn't able to do that it's a waste of money and time... But at least a few multi millionaires can sleep a little easier saying I tried.... Charity starts at home... We got enough shit to sort out here let alone sending money around the world..... Does it sadden me to see child after child born into a lifetime ( if they're lucky... Or unlucky I suppose) of hunger and hardship.. Of course it does...

I just think peoples jealousy often clouds their judgment when it comes to successful sports/media folk.........jealousy is a horrible trait and the sooner people realise that famous people get illness/diseases as well.................we,ll all be a bit more understanding.
