Guest A Sick Old Man
I have a Ruger 10/22, I have been using Mini Mag and CCI sub sonic. But I recently got some stinger for the long range shot, I find it goes all over the place. I was wondering if any of you have had problems with types of ammo through your Rimmey's, I will stick with the Mini Mag for now. Quote Link to post
kiwi 4
yeah the little rugers are fussy on ammo,i use winchester power point and winchester subs and have no problems, so long as i give it a clean now and again. had no luck with stingers and yellow jackets sprayed them all over the place. Guest baldie
Sick, the mini mags are pretty good, but the velocitors are better mate is it a bog standard 10/22 youre using, or does it have modifications i,m just putting the finishing touches to a full blown custom volquartsen myself, and boy does it shoot, 3/8" at 50, which for an auto is exceptional, and thats 10 shots, not 5 Quote Link to post
Guest reload
Baldie, I love them volquartsen, here is a shot of a couple of my mates volquartsons(folding stock and a thumb hole) and a few airguns when we had a shoot up the other day These boys all use winchester subs most of the time. Guest A Sick Old Man
Its a Walnut stocked one with extended mag release, and the bolt release mod. I have a Nikko Sterling Gold Crown on it at the moment (4X40) but am going to change that, I will try the Velocitors, and have just got some Winchester subbeys. I use a modified Parker Hale silencer which is not bad, I also got two of those Eagle mag's,(10 rnd) I keep one with Sub's in and the other with the pokey stuff in. Am still learning the ranges that its most useful at as yet, have zeroed it in at seventy yards with subby. The Mini Mag shoots an inch higher at this range, Thanks for the advice, Sick Quote Link to post
kiwi 4
i have had the walnut deluxe job for twenty years now great little gun have shot every thing from mice to reds with it, have had about six scopes on it in it's life time but it's had a 4x leupold and laser for the last few years now and slip on silencer for the subs. it looks no where near like those volquartsens they look shit hot mate!
