bird 9,941
Been taking Buck my 1x gsd x grey pup walks on his own, take him with Bryn my 1x collie x grey 1st, the the pup by him self,Been doing it for 2 weeks now, drop Bryn back at home in his kennel+ run, then take Buck.Well today done the same brought them back, the wife was in garden doing few jobs, so left Bryn with her . Went through front gate which is about same size as 5 bar gate , closed it behind me and started to cross road.Heard the wife shout Bryn , there was a lorry coming down road, with a car starting to over take it, Bryn was running down road after me. I thought christ Bryn will cop it, i had to run towards the lorry dragging Buck who is bloody lump, he (lorry) started to slow then the car just about saw me ,he put on his breaks thank feck. Both slowed down then, another 30secs and Bryn would have got killed no dout about it. He norm never jumps my gate, i know Bryn is a (great) jumper but never done this before in 5 years .Iwas in 2 minds to wack the fecker, but thought it could have all gone really bad , so just took him back to his kennel+ run and locked him up. Both drivers were ok , and could see what had happened, they just give a thums up and drove on. i am getting to old for racing lorrys at my age .lol 1 Quote Link to post

Tiny 7 1,694
Ray had it myself last yr with my pup....!! I was'nt as lucky and he got clipped (Full back end gone) and PTS that night..... Makes you think dont it....!! I lost my black fcuker last yr. He followed a fallow into a forest walked around for 2 hours trying too find him. Well lost him for 5 days honestly thought he was dead as he's a do or die type no pounds round me had picked him up or had any sightings as in no found dogs they had too pick up off the roads! Too be honest I gave up thought that was him only too get a call at work total out of the blue. A bird saying i ''Think'' iv found your dog? Really Yip it was him. She was a vet helper or what ever lived a about 8 mile from me. She found him ''Disturbing'' the wildlife in the forst and pulled him off and took him home.. So glad it turned out as it did and i got him back. Its a true saying you dont know what youve got tills its GONE.... 1 Quote Link to post

It was heart in your mouth stuff, because Bryn was coming down fast towards me, as said few secs before he would have been killed. From now on i will put him in his kennel+ run. Quote Link to post
