Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Ayup lads and lasses, This morning whilst watching chelsea i decided to strip degrease and re-grease my hw97kt .177 .. just for the sake of it lol. so i did also heres the beaytu (95) and the BEAST (97) I put about 50 or so shots through after zeroing her at 35yds then shot; this 4 shots at 35yds (5p sized black circles) this 3 shots at 40yds (half mildot holdover on 10x) (wrigleys extra piece of chewing gum) and then 10 shots on the chrono with 4.52 jsb exact 8.4gr, unwashed unlubed unweighed. 11fps variation with room for improvement Thank you weihrauch, was thinking of sandwell'in her but not going to bother shes good enough for me Edited February 17, 2013 by Skot Ruthless Teale 1 Quote Link to post

Just out of interest what do you think of your 95 also what cal and how does it compare to the 97? Sorry for all the questions but I can't decide between a , 95 and 97. Thanks both .177 Truth is there all as good as eachother. i was shooting barbed wire everytime with the 95 on sat at 27yds its amazingly accurate.. as is the 97 as you can see with the chuddy at 40yds.it just depends how you like your gun.. long/short fat/thin heavy/light. i prefer the fit of the more adjustable 97 with the thumbhole that suits me better but some people dont get on with them and prefer a more traditional stock like the 95's also .177 + .22 are both as good as eachother again its personal preference. good luck choosing a rifle but with any 95 97 you cant go wrong. cheers SKoT Quote Link to post
Alan Holmes 11
Thanks SKoT, Going to local gun shop today or tomorrow, as they have a 80k And 95k in at the moment. I already had a look at a 97 (traditional stock) really nicely weighted gun and dispatched a few rats with my mates. But for some reason I really fancy a break barrel, I think it must be a midlife crisis and I want to be taken back to my youth. Thanks for reply Al Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
If you got on with the 97 I think you will probably prefer the , because its heavier than its younger little sister the 95. For my next gun I either want a or 77, never had those, Ive had 4 97's tho lol ....... or a prosport if they start making left handed ones, not holding my breath tho lol let us know how you get on then, SKoT Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
Nice shooting Skot. Really well done. I must say, I do like the look of your HW95. And if you can shoot this well with a spring rifle, you'll love the HW80 and HW77. The best Weihrauch ever produced in my humble experience. Cheers mate. Simon 2 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
By the way, you'll find the HW80 and HW80K are no where near as heavy as people make them out to be. Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
Cheers Skot. I haven't received the tuning kit Tony Wall is making for me yet. He's doing the lathe work and basically honing and matching everything up to the spring. As soon as it gets here, it's over to Andy's and then, as soon as he's done his work on the HW97KT, it'll be out and running-in! The rifle ain't so bad. It's really angered me that Weihrauch have really begun to let their standards slip and this 97KT of mine NEEDS refinement to get it shooting as it should from the factory! Poorly cut and deburred springs, swarf in the internals. That's bloody third world crap! However, all, I'm assured by Andy, will be well You are welcome to come over when I can get some free time shooting Skott. I'd like some warmer weather though mate! Maybe we can get Andy over too All the best mate and keep up the great shooting. Simon. 2 Quote Link to post
