fat man 4,741
Do any of you lads use the 220 swift for small deer,as i have shot fallow with it and it seems quite capable knocking them where they stand at considerable distance. Quote Link to post

Martin up until last year it was not legal but this season the swift has been made legal providing a 65gr round is used,i know of several men who have required a licence this year using a 220 swift. martin 332
Well,I stand corrected it seems you can use that calibre, but I would certainly not want to heart/lung shoot a Fallow or Red with one,so why not get a proper calibre or is that more suited to the job? Martin Quote Link to post
sussex 5,777
Dos'nt sound man enough for me,i would'nt want to heart/lung a red or fallow with one,i knopw if its right on the money through the ribs it will work fine but if that hit the shoulder on a big fallow buck i'm not so sure that would carry on through . I allways looked at 65gr as a varmit round .its 6.20 am just of stalking with a proper round ..6.5 x55 ..... 1 Quote Link to post
