spindolero 1,111
don't want to offend anyone but the nicest bedlington types i have seen belong to Tess on the bedlington forum. it is not about the nicest is it it is whats in there heart mate as i said if they do the job thats good and none is better than the other i found the wheatons were fuckers for fighting with the dogs but as they say if it does its job and all that crack on .atb Hi Trotter, very true, we all like and want different things in life. I want a bedlington X now haha In all seriousness I would say that heart would only go so far for a lurcher weighing 30-40lb, a good biggun and all that. i won't disagree that many wheatens have a short fuse, like some bull types. i guess in days gone by laid back wheatons and bulls weren't ideal for their respective jobs. what does a good fox weigh if a 40llb dog can not sort it out should not be used simple realy it as not got the heart and i am talking a 26tts not a beddy whippet good point well made - i think its a shame that many people don't have your standards Trotter. if they did there would still be a lot of digging bedlingtons Quote Link to post

fitchet 788
The gamest dog ive ever seen working was a straight wheaten/greyhound. I saw it work alongside ferrets could catch hares on the lamp. I remember seeing it kill a fox and 2 hares on the lamp. Then back out with the terriers in the morning and he got on a scent found it flushed it and hit it with such hatred it was pretty much dead. Then a few hours later it had a very lively fallow buck by the neck and it was going nowhere. When the dog was killed the owner never got another lurcher. R.i.p dutch. 5 Quote Link to post

spanielsandhawks 466
How would you compare your mixed breed dog against a genuine wheatenx, beddyx or bullx. would you say by having all 4 breeds in your dog, he is better than just a straightx, or is he just ok. atb Quote Link to post
