Born To Dig 38 Posted February 15, 2013 Report Share Posted February 15, 2013 Hi lads i bred my first litter of pups recently and had 2 dogs 1 bitch. theyre now 6 weeks old and the bitch has taken a disliking to the smallest dog in the litter! after every feed they get she'll tear into him and wont let go ragging him all over the place, and not like playfull pups! anybody seen this before? thanks Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173 Posted February 15, 2013 Report Share Posted February 15, 2013 Yes: Lakie litter I bred years ago: at around 6 weeks they were seriously trying to kill each other: if they'd had the jaw power and adult teeth it would have been nasty. I ended up splitting them up: 2 and 2 in adjoining boxes within the same large kennel: the bitch could get into them, but they couldn't get out or at eachother: similar thing: 2 were always hammering the other 2. Attack Fell Terrier 864 Posted February 18, 2013 Report Share Posted February 18, 2013 A mate of mine bred a litter of Patts, and the one bitch pup who used to take the pastings turned into a seriously mentally deranged and eventually had to be put down she was so unmanageable. yanto bach 9 Posted February 21, 2013 Report Share Posted February 21, 2013 Yep best to split em, a few years back I had a litter of pitbulls and one of the little buggers took most his litter brothers ear off while having a bit off tussle,then kept picking on him ...stange though he was ok with the others. same as you they just did not get on.
