stabba 10,745
I think a kenneled dog needs a bit more grub in winter to keep the weight on. If your kennels are up to scratch then they shouldnt need extra food..nor a heat lamp and such..the key is a quality kennel if your dog needs any of these then you are not housing them suitably..jmo

These are my kennels and I still put a coat on and feed a bit extra or a warm meal when it drops below 0c. Kennels could me brick built and insulated, it's still gonna get chilly... Just ordered this for my new dog... It will be insulated with kingspan and then ply lined. It's still gonna be f***ing cold when its -10c though.

Sirius 1,391
Once a day for my current dog unless I am doing a lot with him or need to put the weight on. It all depends on the dog and its situation there are no rules to me other than I never leave food down all the time wether a pup or a adult.
stabba 10,745
A block built kennel ..rendered..insulated and then ply lined with suitable bedding....at a suitable size is whats needed..and thats what ive got...dogs never lost one bit of weight or condition ..water bowl never froze once in the -14 temps we got last year...a factory thrown together cheap shiplap kennel is bound to get chilly despite being insulated....im on planet earth mate and me dogs are as happy and warm as larry....dont want to sound a cnut Gaz but thats how i kennel me dogs and never had a problem with the cold
