ok folks, i'v been painting the kitchen all day so there for had all the windows open and the whole day long i could here this little chap singing but with all the leaves on the tree's it was impossible to see what it was, the only way i can descibe its song is that it sounded like a fat man had fallen asleep with his dog whistle in his mouth :laugh: every time he breathes out imagin the noise that would make !

 

 

a bit vague i know but its all i can think of to descibe it !

 

i dont know why i think this because i have no reason to,and dont think i have ever heard one or know its call but summit says tree creeper :hmm:

 

 

anyone ???

As for what Rick has lurking in the undergrowth? God alone knows.

 

Sadly, I can't hear a lot of birds any more. Hearing's shot on those frequencies. But there's some good cd's available of common bird calls and songs. BTO.org would be a place to start looking ;)

Out on a walk today i heard what i can only describe as 2 glass marbles in a bag hitting together quickly.

now molly if you had said two stones hitting together that would of been a blackcap!
