Dog Pooing Blood

Recommended Posts

Cheers for the comments i havnt seen the mess it was my grandad who keeps the dog for me. But he says it was slimy with bits of red blood in it. Its the same symptoms as when i first bought him off the breeder. He must not have been wormed properly and the he had severe worms tge mess he produced then was the same i think. But since iv got in i ge hasnt passed anything so until he passes anything i dont know weather to worm him at the vets first thing in the morning :/

Sorry to sound aggressive but the dogs welfare is the main concern.

To be fair my dog was bleeding out of its arse last week and I didn't rush the vets to have my wallet raped. I took some good advice off here and used a bit of common sense and sorted her out

ye better hope it aint parvo, dog will just be getting worse while you are on forums askin people  .....hope it all works out pal

A few people said that to me. But what if it is Parvo? What's the vets gonna do? Possibly save the dog but from what I've heard they usually die and dogs that do survive are never the same again after recovering from Parvo. Either way you get a big bill at the end. With the number of cases coming up its probably the same bug about 15 others on here have had these last couple of weeks.

there a lot of things i would tend and treat myself to save being ripped off at a vets, but this wouldnt be one of them mate. if you were shitting blood would you go on the internet and ask folk for thier advice,no you would know within yourself that proffesional help is needed.spewing or passing blood is never a good thing.

Could be as simple as stress. Its common for pups to shit a little blood even for a few days when u first bring them home due to stress of the new surroundings and maybe a change in diet. Its the lining of the stomach or intestines ( i cant remember which) thats poducing bloody mucous and needs no treatment but time. if the dog has only recently gone to your grandas, i would put it down to stress of the move but if the dog is in a bad way, i wouldnt hang around

i have had dog with parvo that died, just a pup......it was out of a litter of about 7 which all ended up with it,but 2 survived and one of them,my mates dog... is one of the best dogs i have seen, about the same time one of the mates dogs got it too,it was caught early enough and the dog was fine a couple of weeks later,so to say they will not be the same again is a load of shite....seen a few dogs with parvo that have got over it,it depends how much damage has been done, but i must admit most do die
