pianoman 3,587
Try applying for one and see what the authorities say....! Edited February 15, 2013 by pianoman Quote Link to post
Blackbriar 8,569
The licensing authorities claim to deal with each case on an individual basis, and the whole procedure is surely only in place to ensure that your friend will use and store a gun safely and in accordance with laws, reg's etc. After al, if he wanted it for nefarious purposes, he wouldn't be applying for permission, would he ??? I recently spoke to an armed Police Officer, who informed me that the role of the licensing Authority IS NOT to stop anyone owning a firearm - it is to ensure they are used, stored, managed and monitored SAFELY (his words, not mine). Pianoman's suggestion would, therefore, be sensible ! 1 Quote Link to post
