when dogs cant turn and run out wide its usally a wrist injury and also the back leg injury can cause it get it look at by a bone man

Some dogs just don't turn as well as others. I've seen big dogs turn well and really surprise me and little ones turn like a bus.

 

My bitch is 24" and is very inconsistent. I've seen her turn virtually on the spot and when the rabbits jinking all over the place she sticks with it like glue. But I've also seen her lose so much ground on a turn that she can't get back on terms with it.

 

I guess there are loads of varying factors.

Ok he's 18 months old he can catch but just some times he misses easy ones if yu get me !

if it turns like a bus then you use it for what buses are good at .............

you wont change a dogs turning ability ......................but it will learn to adapt with the more it runs......................looks like your going to be frustrated and it may not be the dog for ones self............and the quarry your runing ...........

If the dog is not carrying an injury ... get it checked out by a good bone man first ... then being unable to turn tightly is down to the dog's conformation and natural suppleness, or lack of.

Like Baw says, up or down hill can make things harder, also running on hard ground makes it difficult to turn tight, not that there will be much hard ground around at the moment!

Is his tail going round like a f***ing propeller could be a lot of things. If he only does it sometimes, he maybe going in too fast. Only a young dog mind. Check his nails ain't too long too. I wouldn't worry about it tbh.
