Not trying to bring your post down Lurcherlad, but this type of question has been asked lots of times. eg whats the best type of lurcher, whats the best cross etc. Although its important to be able to catch on a run, i put more importance on marking. A good marking dog, can save you a lot of time, and therefore put more rabbits in the bag. I also like a dog under 23 inches, as i know some Farmers that wont entertain large lurchers on their ground. My best was a Whippet X Bedlington, but presently working a young Whippet whom i am happy with. didn't think whippets would have a good nose, but this one has, and will mark. Waiting on a litter, which will be 3/4 Whippet 1/4 Bedlington, always had a soft spot for Bedlington Lurchers 4 Quote Link to post
