walshie 2,804
I posted on here a while ago about where to get raw marrow bones. I think the butchers round here must deal with boneless cows as the answer is always no. Are they not allowed to sell them or something? It's doing my nut in. Anyone know anywhere that might post me some? Cheers.

Strong Stuff 2,171
Some butchers buy their meat ready jointed etc, long after it has come off the marrow bone.Personally, I don't give marrow bones anyway, I only give the non weight bearing bones. Hella Crawford 0
Some butchers buy their meat ready jointed etc, long after it has come off the marrow bone. Personally, I don't give marrow bones anyway, I only give the non weight bearing bones. Interestingly, my lurcher bitch is not interested in a marrow bone. She buries it in her bed. Maybe it's too big although my butcher gave me the smallest one.
walshie 2,804
All my dogs have loved marrow bones. Mind you my dad was a butcher so there were a lot of them. Kept them amused for hours. Then this mad cow thing seems to have spoilt it.
Strong Stuff 2,171
Unlkess they are cut in half, once the small amount of meat has gone off the outside, then there's not much else to interest them.Have had dogs break teeth on them in the past and wear them down which is why I don't give them.
