I've got 7 pups eight weeks old. I'm keeping two, the rest have gone to friends.

Five of the pups had a skin problem which responded to Noroclav antibiotic. The worst two had tiny patches of hair loss the size of a matchstick. The others had tiny 'bumps' on their faces, not quite scabby, but flaky. The flakes came off with olive oil after the antibiotic had done its trick.

The vet said they could have been bitten by a bug. But what? Fleas? There was no sign of any fleas or any other bug.

The pups are almost fully recovered now, bumps disappearing and hair grown back.

But what caused the problem?

Any suggestions, explanations, theories gratefully received.
