getting a patt in the near future, and was just wandering what the best line or lines were? is it nuttall, middletons, goulds???? and have you any pictures of the line you consider the best so i can have a butchers? i know you cant judge a dog by its looks, but nevertheless i would still like to see them as i am interested in observing the differences that occur in the diferrrent bloodlines.

buy from lads that graft them, ask around your areas and avoid knobheads.

you dont need a line, just worker to worker

agree with BBB,the only thing to consider is that the line is WORKING,bloodlines today are incidental,

unless you favour a particular breeder,if you want it to do some graft just make sure every dog in the line has worked,that has to be a terriers standard,more so now in this day and age of breeding for money,reputation and looks!

You no doubt have a picture in your head of what this worker looks like, so find the type you prefer and go get one.

 

If you honestly don't mind what they look like, ie size, shape, length of leg, spanability, method of work, name etc. etc. etc. then go for a worker to worker breeding and nothing else.

 

If the animal is of true worker to worker breeding then it should look right anyway and will do as you want it to.

just get a dog off honest lads who you no works them and not so twat who has never laid hands on a spade.plenty of lads around the midlands with good honest dogs.whether they would let you have a pup is a different matter.good luck though mate.
