Bossie 90
200GBP + a trip across the channel (another €95) will get you a very nice dutchie/malinois working cross, from proven lines. No not from me, just giving you another option and some insight in proper working shepherd prices over here. Edited February 14, 2013 by Bossie Quote Link to post

Guest Leveller
Malinois for me, he's a fair bit of work in his own right but if somebody gets in to the kennels when I'm not around they will still be there when I get back.............. Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
Malis are great dogs but abit too highly driven to be sat in a yard all day. I know of one with hardly any teeth as its constantly shut in a kennel and picks up anything rocks sticks and shakes it. Thats all it does apart from eat shit and sleep. This is my yard dog. American bulldog cross. 2 Quote Link to post

You're not wrong there I'd hate to think of one locked up with no outlet. Like I said before he's enough work in his own right. Quote Link to post
hubbs 178
I like the thought of a mali but don't know enough about them ! I've had a gsd done everything I asked she even used to bush up for the lurchers ! Sadly had to be pts as she had tumours ! Ibe also kept apbt but I wouldn't advise them to anyone that's just gonna lock them up ! Obviously banned now ! I've had two they look menacing enough to keep people out I wouldn't want to jump into a garden with one ! Quote Link to post

billy whizz 141
my AB is around 8st i walk past a rottie behind a gate and he dwarfs my dog lol i like them but have to find a good one like this beast you would be mad to go near this lol That to me mate isnt a proper rottie. The best ones ive seen were athletic and smart. That goes for ABs aswell. Someone said dobermans. A bailiff on one of our club waters has a couple and he says they are shit as guarders. Ive only ever heard or seen of one working and he is owned by a very good friend. Its taken him years to find one. Atb i agree with you on the athletic thing mate its a great thing to see a dog in good shape,to me thats a in good shape compared to what ive seen lol have you any pics of lean rotties?nice to see a dog who would catch a thiefing twat lol Quote Link to post

Yeah i have on the laptop of my old bitch. Everyone used to think she was a dobe/rottie. Had her put to sleep a few years ago now then went down the AB route. She could jump a five bar gate with ease. When i find the pics out ill pm you them. Atb Quote Link to post
gvc 491
hi,, I would recommend a dog de bordoque, they are probably the most inteligent dog I have known, you don't need a high fence to keep them in & are really teretorial,,they also are really good at sussing a wrongun ,haha I agree fully I have re home'd a number of these for to be guard dog's they settle in to any environment. There brain power will shock a lot of people and once you have kept one you will not want any other breed. Here is our young dog he's 20 month old. That loose gate in the picture makes the bravest of people think twice. 2 Quote Link to post
