Ruger M77 Stainless Syntetic All Weather ?

Recommended Posts

I have it in .204 , heavy trigger, which I replaced with a Rifle Basix trigger. Wouldn't group when I had it new, front sling stud was too long , went through the forend and actually touched the barrel , filed it down , great grouping ever since. Very happy with it since.

I lamp with it , added a Harris bipod 1 1/2 lbs , scope 1 1/2 lbs , moderator 1 1/2 lbs don't find the weight an issue. Great accuracy

Ok thanks. i was thinking of getting it in .223 dont seem to be popular judging by the replys.

I've bought 1 with the S/S barrel and the laminated stock late last year, took me ages to find the right gun.

I also have a 77/22 with target stainless grey barrel and laminated stock, .22, it's the most accurate rifle I've shot.

Had the S/S al weather 77/22 for about 10 years before that, and that 1 did do some work.

What I'm saying is they are built to last, never had an issue with any, all use the same mauser bolt design, floppy when open but lock down real tight.

.223, only got a mod on it recntly, and sat in 4 " of snow to try and zero it wasn't long lasting so only fired about 12 shots after lazer zero.

The final grouping was about 2" at 100yds, but that was me, I need to get to the range to really try it.

Great handling gun, I love it, and yes I am a bit biased :thumbs:

Forgot to add, I also free floated the barrel from the stock, it wasn't clear and heavier on 1 side.

The trigger can easily be safely lightened in about 10 mins at zero cost if you have a little file and an oil stone, the info is on the net
