Kent_keith 46
Thanks guys, got talking to Nitesites sales director too, giving me a shout when the new viper connect rubber mount is for sale, two weeks I was told, and I'll compare it with the Hawke sidewinder I just bought, , also seen the new NV scanner, lovely piece of kit, hmmmmmm far to expensive for my taste though. Kent_keith 46
Looking through it tonight, spot on from 20 to 60 metres, could need a little tweak to improve it but happy at the moment, I can't wait to get out there and try it in the field. Bunny's beware lol Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Try raising the IR module and LCD screen up a bit mate as the HW100 T and silencer is quite long and you may get a bit of IR flare off the silencer which will spoil the picture some what. Raising it up stops all this. Si Quote Link to post
Kent_keith 46
Got a K T so shorter but good advice thanks, got the viper connect on the 97 suits it, letters see Quote Link to post
Daz 7 563
thought the Connect was only designed for PCP and not Springers bud? atvb Daz 7. 1 Quote Link to post
Kent_keith 46
Hi Daz, what it does say is that it's not to be used on recoiling rifles because of the short eye relief required for this type of scope, my eye is not pressed up tight to scope when I use it. Saying that, I'll field test it next week and test It properly. Quote Link to post
woodcote1 88
How does the sidewinder feel on the rifle? Does it affect the balance much? I have discounted one for my 410 because i think they might be too heavy, but like the sound of them. Quote Link to post
hunter100t 56
THINKING OF GETTING THE NS 50 MYSELF, IF YOU CAN PUT SOME VID FOOTAGE UP OF IT IN ACTION THAT WOULD BE GREAT KEITH. ATB PHIL Quote Link to post

Hi Keith if Your Eye isn't close to the Eye bell then You should be Okay, But in HFT recoiling Class Means Spring Powered Rifles So although there isn't the recoil of a Center fire rifle, There will be some Lateral movement from a Spring powered Rifle, Especially an untuned Springer with the Piston slamming forward. Okay if you have a Prosport but wouldn't like to try it on My New HW 77 k has i'd end up with a Black Eye . atvb Daz 7. Quote Link to post

Hi, its 25.1oz 711 grams so not heavy, you could find something the same weight and compare, of course it doesn't have to have the sun shade or the wheel attached Quote Link to post

ATB PHIL Hi Phil I'm sure Si has a 50 as well as a 200? as I'm sure I've seen some footage on youtube that he put up. the only thing I can tell you that they can be scope fussy but the sidewinder scope looks good, and I've yet to try the Viper Connect but heard it to is good with the NS50/200 Quote Link to post
