flee the land 1
Flee the land, I'd say you ruined that dog. Your the type of person I'm talking about. There are dog men...and men with dogs. Your probally the later. your very wrong , 18 years ago i got a hancock merle bitch 5/8 3/8s got it off a lad that was lamping her and ferreting , she would creep up onto rabbits on lamp then when close burst of speed then 9 times out of ten the bunny was in the bag, i took the dog off bunnys and done alot of hare with her , no ban then. and after leaving bunnys alone for a bit and doing other stuff . that bitch never done that again . i seen plenty dog do what mine has done . she not to bad now but beleave me this bitch is far from ruined, has a big big name for herself and thats down to me and mostly her. i average 30 + bunnys most outing 46 is the most and there is plenty of photos to prove . but i have nowt or my bitch to prove , plenty good men seen her on , i think running lurchers for fpr 28 years i would no lurchers by now, the best of luck Quote Link to post
moonlighter 1,164
I probally came across a bit harsh reading my post back, but don't you think catching a dozen rabbits for a nine month old pup is a bit much on the first night? How many did she run to catch 12? Quote Link to post
inan 841
One of my dogs won't work for anyone else. It isn't a " I'm so amazing" thing, it is a dog confidence thing - he is confident with me, no one else. He will do 3 strides down the beam, then turn back . None of the others do it, so I think it is me/him not a dog problem. jacker Why don't you give it a rest, 24/7 trolling? No one's biting . Get out and do some double glazing. Carraghs Gem 1,675
bought a pretty little collie bitch off a farmer who said she was no good she was 12mths old and heavy in pup... He'd been trying to work her pregnant and since she wouldnt work for him he kicked her and kept her locked in the shed 24/7 with his male sheepdog. She whelped on my lap on the journey home... Took her 12mths to trust me then started obedience training which she excelled at... She started helping me out around farm penning suck calves... Turned into a decent little bitch but always hated men... Vet killed her when he f****d up her spaying op... I was devastated... Only consolation is i have her daughter here but shes bonded with my fella not me. Quote Link to post
sunny 14
How do you define a jacker ,you could have a dog run out of steam and stop weather thats fitness levels ,poor feeding or the dog has give its best and stopped they arnt all capable of 6 min courses ? You could have a faster type whippet /grey ect do 3 mins fast and tight and throw the towel in or a ploddy fen dog do 6 mins and throw the towel would you be happy with that ? or are they jackers I guessing there are a lot that would put these so called jackers up for sale Edited February 13, 2013 by sunny Quote Link to post

MR.Digger! 10
A jacker for me is something what pulls off its quarry in stride or battle. Weather the dogs fit or not if it does it once it will do it again, imo. Although it helps to take abit of pride in your dog and do your best to prevent this but a wise man once told me a dog is only as good as its last time out. Quote Link to post
