I was hoping that if I could get her to play then I could use her to bring rabbits back to me from the purse nets and before you say yes i know this is the wrong section for ferreting but I though u chaps had the most experience Quote Link to post

dusk til dawn 169 Posted February 17, 2013 Report Share Posted February 17, 2013 A lakeland "type" bitch that is not playing ball while you are ferrating ie not retrieving, would not be uncommon you dont explain what she IS doing , if its ragging at the rabbit she's being a terrier . And working her on rabbit at 8mnths is ok if rabbit will be her only quarry, rabbit scent would cause problems for other work. retrieving out of nets is a big ask for any pup, but stick with her and she should make a crackin busher ! keep getting out there and she'l come good Quote Link to post
