The Pup is 22"ish now

The Spaniel had / has a condition that is stopping him from absorbing protien from his food, leading to serious weight loss and bloating with water from the Acites that comes with lack of albumin in the blood.

They treated with antibiotics to see if it was bacterial, but no affect. The next step was steriods, but as the dog stayed perky through the whole affair, I decided to see how it went with no treatment. And he is improving a bit. I`m not expecting him to regain full health, and will let him get on with it until I see a problem, but at 11 yrs old, I will not be putting him through any treatment that will cause him pain or serious discomfort.

Skycat, you might find my thread here interesting http://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/showthread.php/54760-Spaniel-problem

SHould do the job nicely. A rabbit jumped out in front of him the other day, and he nearly pulled the missus clean across the field to get on it !:laugh:
