SportingShooter 0
What sort of things will you be shooting and at what sort of distances? For something like Rabbits then a .22LR out to about yards is bread and butter for it, even further when you're used to your rifle. One of the other rimfires for anything out to about 150 yards comfortably. If you're talking larger quarry, the likes of a Fox, then a centrefire out to as far as you're confident to shoot. cyclonebri1 8
Police round here don't like FAC rated airguns and they now don't like .22 rimfires since the 17 hmr came along, too many ricochets .22 is the way to go, I had a 38ftlb air rifle before a .22 rinfire, the difference is staggering, the .22 IS the ultimate bunny gun, .17 too noisy. If you go for it, go your way, not the way the feo wants you to. Quote Link to post

tanktfb 2
sound advice as always on here.I to use to belive i only needed an airgun untill i gained more permissions after getting a .22 rimmy vermin controll became even more of a passion for me . But deffinatly keep a good airgun for them permissions were rimmy is a no no i would also say to go for a centerfire at the same time if you have good foxing ground as it save's on the cost of a variation later on for the centerfire a good reason and a good mentor will be two of the things needed all the best on your application tanktfb Quote Link to post
