no mate the only injury was when he tryed jumping the barbed wire and failed it left him with a 3 inch skin tear but apart from that hes sound tbh where i run the dog its all sheep fields and farmed l

Yeah you gotta do your research mate you want someone who breeds big strong whippets not the little shivery type

think its just a case of every dogs different good and bad whippets and the same as beddy crosses i know which one i would prefer

Haha now that's putting me on the spot if the whippet was more durable I wouldn't keep anything else the beddie cross you can run anywhere they are bomb proof with the whippet you have to be carefull where you run them

No I haven't worked her yet she is 11 months now have her down the fields all the time just letting her hunt up and marking

thanks just been noesy as i have two 6 month pups first timer cheers
no probs mate to be honest if she had been a beddie cross I would have her out on the lamp already but she is a bit to full on for her own good and the min just looking forward to getting her ferreting next season

a whippet or a whippet cross would be fine for lamping and ferreting im not trying to say they would be the best choice for you but ive got a whip x grey here and he does everything i ask of him and more ;)

have you had many injuries with him mate had one was to fast for its own good and was out of steam after a few runs ?

no mate the only injury was when he tryed jumping the barbed wire and failed it left him with a 3 inch skin tear but apart from that hes sound tbh where i run the dog its all sheep fields and farmed land so i dont know how he would cope on rougher ground as for the stamina of him hes no saluki but this fecker loves graft and actually hes suprised my how long and often he can run :thumbs:
