saintsman54 15
Just back from roost shooting and we haven't had as many as the last two weeks, 50 first week, 25 last week and 15 tonight. Are others having the same results? Quote Link to post
cammy12 176
if you hammer them on the roost they will f**k off else where to roost, i maybe hit them once a month at most. 1 Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
Roost shooting is my favourite form of pigeon shooting, unless I'm really lucky with an absolutely blinding decoy day. Quote Link to post

I think roost shooting is my favourite form of any shooting! Followed closely by duck flighting. Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,541
Alot of shoots offer roost shooting every saturday in feb to the beaters. Yes they will move off if you over shoot 1 wood but think the idea is if every estate shoots on the same day after the pheasants are over it keeps em moving. Quote Link to post

This is what we are doing, have about 9 people one in each wood keeps them moving about . Quote Link to post

DIDO.1 22,541
most of the ajoining estates round here did every day in feb but as estate shoots get broken up it become less effective. i know one shoot round here had a great first day then it has gone down hill from there but that was blamed on no wind rather than over shooting.
